Changing Your
Kickstart Pawl
When you change your kickstart pawl (062015), it is also very important to replace the layshaft first gear (040115) too.
If you cannot afford to do this, then you should at least change the bronze bush (040046), to straighten up the gear. This allows the new pawl to make better contact with the ratchet inside the gear.
