Oil Tank Breather Leaks

Situation

You have a tube attached to the oil tank that ends in the air cleaner and you purchase MK2 carbs with velocity stacks.

Problem

You no longer need the tube leading to the air cleaner so you extend the tube down between the motor mounts but it leaks oil and makes a mess.

There Are Four Main Reasons This Can Happen

1] Oil level is too high because your dipstick is 3.5" long when it should be 5" long.
2] The wrong oil is being used, you should use Monograde 50 and NOT any Multigrade oils.
3] There is no one way valve in the engine breather pipe to oil tank.
4] Engine to oil tank breather pipe is connected to froth tower instead of oil filler neck.
