 Fitting Instructions

Remove all original isolastic rubber and metal parts leaving the engine mountings completely bare.  Scrape of any corrosion from inside the mounting tube and smear the bore with red rubber grease (part number 078000).  Coat the new rubber mounts with the same grease and carefully insert rubbers into their respective mounts.  The short rubber fits into the front mount with the long threaded end on the right hand side.  On the rear the long threaded end fits on the left.  Assemble original shim cups (LESS SHIMS!!) and nylon washers as fitted before.

REAR

Fully screw the long abutment on the right hand side of the isolastic and tighten 2BA grub screw.

Fully screw the long adjuster to the left hand side of isolastic.

When the adjuster has been fully tightened, loosen by approximately half a turn.  The unit is now set.

Fit the gaiters.

Fit the unit to the motorcycle and fully tighten through stud/nuts to 25 ft.lbs. (3.45 M.KG.).

FRONT

Fully screw the short abutment on left hand side of the isolastic and tighten 2BA grub screw.

Fully screw the short adjuster to the right hand side of isolastic.

When the adjuster has been fully tightened, loosen by approximately half a turn.  The unit is now set.

Fit the gaiters.

Fit the unit to the motorcycle and fully tighten through bolt/nut to 25 ft.lbs. (3.45 M.KG.).

Adjustment

To adjust either unit, when fitted to the machine, loosen one of the ˝” UNF nuts on the through stud.  This will release the adjuster, which should then be fully screwed in, (the abutment with the 2BA grub screw should be left fully tightened at all times).  Now, loosen the adjuster by approximately ˝ turn, which will automatically set the gap.  Finally, retighten the ˝” UNF nut to 25 ft.lbs. (3.45 M.KG.) to complete the adjustment.

 SIMPLE ISN’T IT?

 Safe Riding.
